Our daughter has several of the American Girl cookbooks, and we love them. The recipes are very well written. The instructions are detailed and easy to understand for someone who does not have a lot of experience cooking. If there are steps where supervision is recommended (such as using a knife, etc.) then the recipe will state that a parent should help with that step. These cookbooks have been great for building our daughter's cooking skills. Additionally, these recipes are quite delicious! Our daughter feels very accomplished when she can make something with little or no help from her parents and we all really enjoy it!

I love this book because they are just now learning and getting into cooking and I feel like these recipes Are easy enough for them to prepare with good flavors they are not afraid to try.
