A lovely tortoise and angel garden ornament with solar light up flowers. The light is not for illuminating the garden, but they do offer enough to show up the ornament at night very well. They turn on and off automatically when it is light and dark. Ideally, it needs to be placed where it can get some sunlight on the rear to charge the solar fed battery. Approximately, 18cm long and 20cm high this sits well on my flower bed. Made of resin plastic, it tends to last longer than an aggregate although can be more brittle after weathering. It should last for many years and is not heavy at all. It can actually be turned off if you don’t want the lights to come on using the switch on the solar panel.

I got this for my mum, who loves her garden ornaments. It came well packaged and is really light to lift. The solar function operates by the button next to the solar panel on the rear of the statue, so keep this in mind when deciding where you will place it. The colours of the flowers make a lovely bright contrast to the rest of the fairy. However, it has to lose a star for quality due to excess glue all over the areas that lights are. I still love it though.

The tortoise shell has acolourful flower design that surround the LED bulbs . This is very lightweight being made of resin, it's appearance is like stone . The solar panel is situated on the back of the ornament and is easy to use, there is a soft touch power button above the panel. The lights will come on at dusk automatically if the power is left on . They will turn off at first light. The lights are a warm white and quite bright, you can see them clearly from the conservatory when it's dark and they are situated at the top of the garden. On the whole a pretty garden ornament for the daytime that looks effective when illuminated at night.
